intY Integrated Services
The intY Integrated Online Services solution combines the Microsoft services with intY's security
services for web, desktop and e-mail protection. These Integrated Online Services are designed to give
an organisation streamlined communications with high availability, comprehensive security, and simplified
IT management.
When a company subscribes to one or more of the services, it will connect to a service which combines
the rich interactivity of on-premises client and server applications with the flexibility and scalability of web-
based services. Because both intY and Microsoft host the services, it reduces the need to maintain
information technology services on site. Many organisations today are moving to this "software-plus-
services" model, because it decreases the need to manage hardware and software.
Both intY's and Microsoft's data centres, the services infrastructure, the network, and the delivery of
mobile, desktop and security applications that comprise intY Integrated Online Services are designed,
deployed, and operated from the ground up with efficiency, security, availability, and privacy in mind.
Simple to use and to manage, intY's Integrated Online Services offer reduced costs and increased
flexibility compared to on-premises or dedicated deployments. This solution once implemented into a
company via our project management and integration team, will deliver rich and reliable functionality, with
no upfront investment with costs continually flexed by the number of users and the applications that they
utilise.
All intY services are directly provisioned, managed and will be invoiced by intY including all Microsoft
services under our global Microsoft BPOS syndication umbrella.
intY's Integrated Online Solution consists of the following key applications:-
intY Integrated Online Management Portal - The sign in application is a tool that automatically sets
up all intY, Microsoft and other application provider services and allows users to access all of their
services with no need to sign in each time they use them. Utilising Active Directory synchronisation, user
profiles are automatically distributed between applications, reducing management overhead and
deployment error. From the management portal, service administrators can import multiple user accounts,
create distribution lists and create SharePoint site collections.
Email Co-existence and Migration Tools - The intY online service suite includes email co-
existence and migration tools. Where a company has Active Directory services and Microsoft Exchange
Server, the Microsoft Online Services Directory synchronisation tool will synchronise user accounts,
contacts, and groups from the local environment to Microsoft Online Services. This tool also makes the
Microsoft Exchange Global Address List (GAL) available in Exchange Online. Use the online services
migration tools to forward copies of the Exchange server mail to Exchange Online mailboxes. The
migration tool can be used by intY to copy content from your Exchange server, POP3, or IMAP4 email
server mailboxes to your Exchange Online mailboxes.
Email and Calendar Functions - Exchange Online delivers comprehensive email services and
synchronisation of mobile devices. Through Microsoft Office Outlook 2007,
Outlook 2010 and Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access, you can use the advanced email, calendar,
contact,
and task management features of Exchange Online. Office Outlook Web Access enables users to access
their
email messages from almost any browser - whether the user is in the office or on the road.
Document Collaboration and Workspaces - SharePoint Online allows you to share and work
together on documents, maintain version control for shared documents, create intranet sites to manage
projects and project workflows, post calendar information, and set up wikis and blogs.
Web Conferencing - Office Live Meeting allows you to hold online meetings with colleagues,
customers, and partners in real time. Office Live Meeting participants can convene online to share
documents, ask questions, work on a virtual "whiteboard," and talk to each other during the meeting.
intY MailDefender - intY's MailDefender delivers world class protection from spam and viruses. The
MailDefender messaging security platform offers comprehensive inbound and outbound customer
network protection against all forms of messaging abuse. The systems unique ability to fully automate the
message analysis and classification process, along with the size and breadth of its anti-spam and anti-
virus filters, enables the speed and high accuracy of our solution.
intY Email Archiving - delivering a fully compliant historical archive, intY's MailDefender Email
Archiving solution helps to control storage costs whilst maintaining a fully searchable indexed file of all
company email.
intY DeskDefender - intY's DeskDefender provides integrated virus and malware protection for laptop
and desk top PC users.
intY Non-stop Connectivity - for solutions that are hosted within the internet and delivered via
broadband or leased line connections, intY's approach is to deliver connectivity solutions that will auto
recover from failure modes, providing the highest possible service levels in mission critical situations.
intY WebDefender - intY's WebDefender policy controls internet access from both fixed and mobile
devices, providing security, user and organisation protection, irrespective of the location or methodology
of connection of the user.
intY WebDefender delivers the following key functionality:-
Integrated Antivirus, Spyware, Phishing and Trojan Blocking - protect users online by
scanning web content well away from your network so only secure material is downloaded. Content is
scanned by high performance antivirus engines for full protection with minimal latency. Threat signatures
are updated continuously.
Dynamic URL Categorisation - WebDefender automatically analyses any new URLs that users
browse within milliseconds, providing far greater protection than systems based on static filter lists. These
first generation systems either block safe sites, or allow dangerous sites to be accessed, neither of which
is acceptable in a modern business environment.
Powerful, Detailed Reporting - produce granular reports on internet activity including usage of online
applications, wherever users have been working, including out-of-office and evenings/weekends.
Conditional reports can be triggered by threshold events such as number of attempts to access blocked
sites. In cases of where activity relates to their staff, reports can be sent by email in PDF form to
departmental managers, enabling proactive control of employee behaviour.
Customised Filtering - create highly customised filter policies by importing key word lists to allow or
deny searches, or URLs to enhance the standard facilities to WebDefender. These can be used to block
access to web sites containing the key word, block particular file type for download etc.
