Enterprise Cloud Computing
intY is a world leader in enabling larger organisations to realise
the strategic benefits of SaaS in their approach to IT. We offer
cloud based Email and IT security, relieving the burden of
managing these core functions in-house. Until now, Enterprise
customers have been wary of committing to Cloud technology
because they perceived it to be SME focused. How have we
achieved this?
Key was the creation of our team of PRINCE2 trained Project
Managers who work with each account from the outset. This
provides a structured methodology for identifying and managing
the unique requirements which every large implementation brings
up.
Every customer has legacy email issues to deal with, but the
complexity will depend on their history: firms who have grown
quickly and by acquisition tend to have multiple diverse systems
and user bases that are geographically spread. Consolidating
these elements to deliver a smooth transition to a SaaS solution
requires skill and experience, which our deployment team possess
in abundance.
Service Philosophy
When each end user is being provided with a number of services
(e.g. Exchange email, SharePoint, Web and Email filtering,
Archiving etc.) then the integration issues multiply rapidly. Our
project managers become closely attached to your organisation
and IT team, visiting as often as required, until they have created
a project plan which is the template for all future activities.
As services become provisioned, customers are directly supported
by the deployment team and then after project sign-off are
transferred to our Standard Enterprise Support helpdesk. This
team operates using ITIL work practices and is able to provide
immediate resolution to day to day problems. Clearly defined
escalation processes mean more significant problems are
highlighted appropriately and dealt with without delay.
We recognise that demands of customers vary and regularly
provide bespoke Service Level Agreements to accompany
individual implementations. This ensures customers know exactly
what will be delivered and enables us to plan the necessary
resources to provide it.
intY is ISO 9001 approved which was supplemented with ISO
27001 certification several years ago. This formalises the systems
we use for managing IT security throughout our business and
provides an auditable framework to show compliance.
Relationships and Technology
When intY were chosen by Microsoft as the sole European
hosting partner to pilot a new way of delivering their online
services, it was clear recognition that we provide unique
capability in this sector. This relationship has enabled us to
develop a rich infrastructure of SaaS products that deliver both
Microsoft and in-house developed services. Some examples of
inty developed capability:
Active Directory Synchronisation: enables customers to
provision multiple services as soon as users are added to their
Directory.
WebDefender Mobile: provides individual web policy protection
down to 3G device level, something no other provider can offer.
WebDefender and MailDefender: class leading online Email
and Web security services.
